sentech out of range

I am going to swllendam for a month, there no coverage there, but on the back of my modem there is a slot for a SIM card, can i just put a cell SIM card inside? and will it work, when im out of range? and if so why is there no info on it in the sentech guides?

Nice one Luke!! Har Har... Danny - sorry it is not the same technology. You will be able to use your cell phone if you eg connect it to your laptop with a bluetooth connection and set up GPRS/EDGE. Slow but you can use it...
 
Was thinking about the 1st "No"....I suppose you can put a sim in there if you wanted, to keep it safe sort of, better than lying around on the table where it can easily get lost :)
