If the Joburg council had their own system then your billing would be even worse than sentech.

This is complete bullsh!t! Sentech can't even run their own infrastructure without fcuking it up completely, now they say "it should be left to large companies". This is rubish! The moment everyone can have a go, it then interprets directly to better products at the top because to stay on top, you have to have a better product than the competition. The more competition, the more products the more to measure against!

Sentech should really get their heads out of their asses and stop trying to control the market and rather fix their sucky product! Dumbass losers! This is really off-pissing!

Sorry, venting a bit. Above is only my opinion! Thanks for the article noswal!

Don't get too upset about it - Sentech is the laughing stock of the IT and business community, so I doubt anything they have to say counts for much. It's just amusing more than anything else - Sentech whining about losing business to municipalities when it can't even provide a decent internet service to a handful of private customers. The comment about Sentech's "groundbreaking work" had me in hysterics. I wonder which one of the retarded oxygen thieves who run Sentech came up with this garbage? Honestly - competition is a waste of resources and will cause foreign exchange losses? Funny how in real life competition optimizes resources and leads to continuous improvement. Oh well, I guess that's what you get when circumstances allow an organisation to be run by morons.

HA HA HA HA...

It seems everytime Sentech open their mouths they say something vastly stupid. Sentech should actually shut their mouths and realise that most of South Africa are aware that Sentech can not deliver broadband and that their user base does not justify them to be decision makers in terms of telecommunications. This says to me one thing though... Sentech are obviously realising how badly they have f.ucked up and are feeling it to say the things that they are saying.

If anybody had to make a complete A-S-S out of themselves in the past, generally the rule of thumb is too keep quiet in the future so as not to make yourself a bigger A-S-S. But Sentech.... I truly take my hat of to them. It takes some serious Talent to be so dumb. Its like everything that comes out of their press offices is S-H-I-T. It would make one think whether they running an ISP or Septic Tank's. The article was a good laugh. Thanks for the article noswal.

Gladwyn Marumo said the move would lead to a needless duplication of infrastructure (such as base stations) and a shortage of skilled staff as companies poached staff from each.

I think they meant to say "urgently required" duplication and "More" employment of skilled staff, they were just misquoted

Article was a good read.
