Sentech to up speed????????????

Hey guys,

Anyone here think sentech might up their speed seeing as all the other broadband options is way above what they offer.

telkom going to 4mbit, iburst with 1mbit and maybe 2mbit in the future, mtn/voda @ 1.8mbit

so, what you guys say???

Well on the other hand they have the best caps by far.

This probably outstrips the benifit of extra speed that you cant even use, especially on HSDPA.

But 128kb would be a bit slow for my likeing, the 256 or 512 should be okay though.

yes, didnt think of it that way, though it would be quite nice if they could bring the pricing down so more of us would be able te move up to 256/512.

I know what you mean, i looked at Sentech when I was looking for Broadband, no coverage unfortuanatley. But i would have had to go for 128, 256 would have been ideal.

Didnt they drop the prices a while ago though, its only R500 now, was R600 right?

was on 128 when i got it and moved up to 256 within a month or 2 after. 256 not that bad, but more speed will do quite well with the cap they give.

Yip, moved to 256 over a year ago, well worth it...dont have much use for 512 though. OK, d/l will be faster, but latency will still kill me. Obviously, if it comes at the same price as the current 256, I'll take it

that was my thought exactly, maybe move every one up a package and create a new 1mbit by chance
