That is good news. Quite a bit ahead of schedule.

jontyB : Why do you say it is a crock?

JStrike: ever the optomist you are. Sentech are not anywhere near ready now as they would like you to believe.

According to telkom our infrastructure is not ready to give the small amount of ADSL users they have uncapped internet, but somehow we are ready to stream massive amounts of data that will be needed for the World Cup?

Come on JStrike, do you really believe that?

jontyB : Maybe. But there is nothing to say otherwise. In their favour, they have had HDTV boradcasts for months. Seem to be doing somthing right. And they have a pretty reliable rep for TV

icyrus : All that would be needed is to add some more satellites to their array. Not that tough a thing to do

DATA, DATA, DATA

we need more access to it, faster access to it and cheaper access to it.

No way the current systems can provide that.

What happened to "we need money or the world cup will be a disaster"

Dude... We're one of their outsources and the company is a mess - believe me. Too many cooks......

Good, then they won't be needing the funding from Government any more. Must be all the MyWi Classic users that cancelled which freed up all that infrastructure :D
Just glad I could do my bit to help. Never thought that cancelling my My Wireless subscription was helping the nation.
