LoneGunman ...... ever thought of moving.....may cost you but will be better for your stress levels....and Sentech will really appreciate the sounds of silence....

on second thoughts why not claim the costs from them...
 
I have been speed testing on tcpiq for an hour this evening (Saturday, sad isn't it) and speeds are all over the place; very slow (60Kbps) to 120kbps (more or less what I am paying for).

This is on Brixton tower 126.
 
Hey LG i just wanted to let you know i have been on the Brixton tower for 1 and a half months now and have not had any real speed problems, this is wierd as if u are having probs on the tower why am i not?

Fantasy is what people want, reality is what they need.

One of my buddies used to work for MI in the old dispensation. They had cool gadgets that could scan and profile the transmission activities over a huge range of frequencies. Would be usefull to have one of those to see if there is some other local source of transmission that is interfering with your MW signal :)

Please don't flame me, I say this with the best of intentions - like CrazyMadMan, I also have no problems on Brixton 126 when I connect during the day at work, and I am closer to the tower than you, although I connect from a fairly high location (so the overshooting signal might not apply to me).

Sorry if this has been asked or stated before. But, out of curiosity, are you using any directional antenna? Have you tried connecting from a different location to establish as to whether your problem might be related to your location? If the problem is related to your modem or account, have you tried a different modem?

Since I work close to you, I am willing to let you try my modem during my lunch time, no charge. (Email me through MyAdsl). No, I do not work for Sentech.
 
HARTH - by MI you mean Military Intelligence? WTF - keep those yokels away from the MW service! Next thing, they'll be literally gunning for LG and TR...
