I have an ecommerce site that's about 3-4 months old. I need to get some decent Google natural search traffic. I used to do SEO myself on similar sites, but they were in the days of Dreamweaver et al. This site is WP with Woocommerce.

I don't really have the time to get up to speed on the latest SEO and how it pertains to this combo, so looking for someone to do, purely white hat. A brilliant star that doesn't charge an arm or/and a leg, as mine are not so useful anymore. :crying:

Anyone/any suggestions?

Just check your spam folder - I am sure you will find lots of offers :) Seriously though - maybe check out people per hour or freelancer etc and pick up someone from there. You need to do your vetting though - lots of useless people.

Well, you're already on your way by linking to it in your signature. Comment on other blogs / forums and establish yourself there as a real person, you'll get more traction.

Don't shy away from Adwords. Just research the keywords you'd like to target. They usually have a deal where you get R900 extra (or free) to spend on more traffic. The most important thing there is to MONITOR the ROI (return on investment) which means tracking anyone that comes in from Adwords (which keywords they searched for) and if they converted into a sale. Some keywords are not made equal, so having that as a test can mean you focus your money where you need to.

I worked for a company who spent R15k a month on adwords to get business, but didn't do their due diligence and most probably wasted 80% of that because of keywords that didn't perform. Then I worked for a company that spent LESS THAN R500 a month on Adwords and their ROI was something ridiculous like R8000 in new business off of that R500.

Experiment, but don't buy links please... sure was to make yourself ded

Yeah, getting someone to do purely white hat SEO that doesn't charge an arm and a leg is like finding a unicorn that has arms and legs. White hat SEO and cost effective don't really go together.

Adwords would be your best bet when it comes to ROI, but as already stated, you need to put in the research, with the correct pixels to ensure you're getting the correct ROI on your keywords.

I used the Yoast plugin and have been doing myself... seems to be working.

My 2c, you know your product best... Getting the content relevant and accurate, is going to be very difficult for someone who doesn't understand your product... (Maybe that's only relevant with technical products..?)
