I reside on a property, in Johannesburg South, that was zoned and subdivided with 3 units.
The water and light bill comes through as a single bill, to one of the owners with the usage broken down per unit.
This is then calculated by said owner and the remaining two of us pay our share.
What bothers me, is that if one of my fellow owners leave, that I may be left with new neighbours who possibly won't pay and that entire property will suffer from non payment and have the lights and water cut.
My questions are:
Can the three owners have the municipality 3 separate billings for each home on the same property?
There are still 3 meters based on my neighbour's property, which is read periodically. Does this help us in what we are looking to do?
Can the water billing also be done with the same idea on the electricity meter?
