First of all, the speedtest is a bunch of crap. you have to take the average of 3 tests to get a proper value.

Well I guess th most of the speed problmes are due to their faliures this month right? This isnt normal is it, I see most days are around 60kbps...

Interesting that the local and international pings are pretty much exact copies of each other one just alot higher, but they follow the same pattern exactly.

btw, you have a prety k4k connection right? I just think I remember you saying so yourself..

keep this up each month... would be cool to see a connection steadily get crapper as mine has gotten. but its nice to see the shiny graphics that go with this!!!

although i must admit my iburst is kinda cool these days.

Well then your connection isnt going to give the best indication of speeds or degredation as capped is usally fine wether your connection is getting ***er or not, maby I should start doing this too.

ANyway, just to keep things accurate be shure your measuring pings and speeds at the exact same time of day on every day. You could even Have two lines for each reading, one at say 12:00pm and another at like 10:00pm.

Yeah, i try to take them at the same time. but it's at home, so i do it when i get home. about 5-6 each day. i try to do the ones on the weekend at that time too. i think i did it more constant than last month's graph.

Your speed will always be slower in the evenings as more people are online then. The best time to test your speed is at 12pm. Did you do a local or Intl speed test?

No no GBM lol... its the other way around. Speeds are *much* better after busines hours, i.e during the evening and especially late as night. During the day businesses clog up the international streams and things are just sow in general, also more peopl infact seem to be on then, as I get a worse actually connection nevermind just international speeds. Things get better as it gets later into the evening.

Do you actually mean 12pm as in midday and not midnight? Have you ever tested your connection yourself, shurely you will find it is muhc worse then that at say 8pm.

I am right, right? Or have I been lying to myself for years now?

Really thats really weird, im shure mine is the opposite.

Maby it depends what the demographics are like around you tower, no I dont mean all the black people get up in the evening and start using iBurst, but like whether there are businesses around to use up the bandwidth during the day or how many people go to work in the daytime and disconnect their iBurst.

But btw, because of iBursts sattelite/whatever they use conectivitey its just the nature of it to get slower during the day, for international atleast.. Its the same on IS ADSL. The international lines are very congested during the daytime, nothing to do with iBursts network , but just the lines that carry there badnwidth out of SA.

That's very weird indeed! Mine's much better in the evenings. I remember in January i was switching jobs and had a free month, so I was only awake at nightime to play guildwars. lol, good 'ol days.
