Serbian murderer Dobrosav Gavric will spend the next two weeks behind bars at Sea Point police station.

On Wednesday morning, he appeared in the Cape Town Magistrates' Court after he handed himself over to the Hawks.

Gavric is wanted in Serbia for a triple murder that happened in January 2000.

Authorities believe he entered South Africa in 2007, using a fake passport.

It has also emerged that Gavric was driving underworld boss Cyril Beeka when he was shot dead in a Bellville hit during March 2011.

A frail looking Gavric limped onto the dock on crutches.

He was meant to apply for bail but the magistrate postponed the application until January 10.

Meanwhile, Serbian authorities want Gavric to be extradited back to the eastern European country to serve a 35-year jail term handed down in absentia.

Gavric’s lawyer Jeanne Smuts said they will oppose the extradition.

“Regrettably, the application could not be heard because the state applied for a postponement."

Smuts said his client is very ill and is receiving treatment from a neurologist.

Hahaha. This is becoming a joke now!

Shabir Shaik and his cronies really set a precedent here!

How many high profile criminals have now gotten sick when the law has pounced on them?

Shaik
Selebi
Shrien Dewani
Zuma's fat ass nephew
Now this assassin dude

Pretty sure their are plenty of others playing the 'Illness Card"

we need a poll on who should be arrested next and what illness they will have.

ha ha ha ha who knows what might happen with his tender business and secret trust Funds but I think he is being groomed for bigger things within the ANC.

I don't blame him.the thought of spending time behind bars constantly watching your behind can make anyone sick.

My wildcard would be Malema and he will suffer from swine flu! :)

That doesn't make sense to me, why would the flu virus that is Malema be suffering?

What sort of treatment could this Garlic murderer be receiving from a neurologist?
