I've been using MTN data for a while and have generally had no problems. Call me finnicky, but since Sunday I am battling to get pings under 1s to the International servers on which I game. Heck, I am even battling to stay connected, never mind the fact that 1000ms pings are only good for levelling professions, etc.

It's all well and fine having a 7.2Mbps 3G connection, but it means squat if you have insane pings as above. I have been used to less than 300ms to the server up until now, which is more than acceptable, but this is getting ridonkulous!

Uncapped Lite have also been giving me problems each evening, and I do have full signal and not throttled yet

MTN was really playing up today - just ad hoc data usage on my phone was sporadic at best

is there a way to check if the line is throttled as yet and is it necessary to really have an open voice line on your sim card or can mtn limit it to only data and block voice and smses? reason im asking is i called the customer support regarding the uncapped lite complaining that i can make phone calls and send smses and only want the sim to be data, anyone experienced this before

Mtn's data speeds has been regressing for ages now. An Edge connection in 2006 gave me better speed than 3G in 2012
