Service at MB or Bosch?

Anyone taken their MB to Bosch for a service?
MB charges R160.00 per plug and this is a normal plug costing about R20.00 at a spares shop.
A battery change costs R2500.00 where the same will cost you R370.00 at a Battery Express.
Can Bosch do a service on MB and is it cheaper?

Yup thats why I'll vow to never buy a citroen again, a service and parts are just way to expensive (They quoted me 3800 for a 60000 service without any extra work )

No way you'll get a platinum plug for R20.

Agreed. My BMW also takes Platinum plugs. Best price I could get at any spares shop is R330 for 6. That's the price they go for. And about R150 for the fuel filter.

I'm sure they do - but they won't be the R20 ones. The R20 ones will be copper plugs that will need replacing every 10 000km, instead of every 80 000 to 100 000km.

Stay away from Bosch. Their service is appalling and not worth the endless hassles you'll have with them.

My Boss used Bosch for his Mercedes after it was out of guarantee.The last 3 times he used them he had to take it back twice due to faulty workmanship.Eventually he took it back to Mercedes and then sold it.Like any garage you take your chances and you get what you pay for.
