I've been a WebAfrica client for much longer than I've been a TelkomInternet slave, and when the ability to transfer your access portion to another ISP came along, it really got me interested. Unfortunately, the transfer process was said to be long winded and possibly costly if you didn't want downtime.

With the current capping policy of Telkom which is more akin to harcapping than their previous softcapping (i.e. twice your bandwith), I decided that Telkom was no longer worthy of my patronage. (Even if their previous capping returns, I'll still feel a lot better for the move)

I put in the request for the transfer with WebAfrica, expecting a 7 to 21 day timeframe. Now, was I suprised, when within 2 working days the transfer was complete. Beyond expectation.

I do understand that capping and cost is at the top of the list of broadband issues, but when all is said and done, service is just as important. My service award for 2007 goes to WebAfrica. You rock guys! :D Keep up the good work.

We are quite a-ways off from that unfortunately Anthropoid, I am confident though that we'll someday have 100% our own infrastructure :)
