Service plan expiry question

This is a bit of a stupid question, but I just wanna make sure with you guys before I have egg on my face. First car ignorance.

I have a Hyundai i20 on 59000km and a 60000km service plan. Does that cover the 60000km service, or does it just cover services up to overall 60000km max? In other words, if I go over to say 60750km for example is it covered?
I know warranty is voided if I go 1500km over the service interval km's.

Unfortunately it wont be covered after exactly 60k km.

you dont have to wait till 60000kms to go tho...just take it now alredy....if ur due now..ur covered and can take it in...
 
They must honour the 60k service as you said up to 61500km. Outside of that, you will have to complain and ask them to do it out of goodwill.

Don't listen too Cool E, he's a troll and a taxi driver.

The plan covers up to and including the 60 000KM service which can be done when the service indicator comes on or before 61500KM

Call the dealer again for clarity. There is always a time/distance leeway period applicable for services.
 
Lol, just called Hyundai Customer Care. They dont even know, apparently they outsource the maintenance/service plans to LiquidCapital, so they gave me their number.

It looks more and more like Cool E might be right here. I have 300km to play with until Tuesday when I managed to book the service. That's not enough considering my commute is 150km round trip and I have a weekend in between. LOL!

There's an easy fix.

Get beer, lots of it and spend the weekend at home :p
 
Ok, update: Phoned Liquid Captial, they assured me it includes the 60k km service, with a leeway of 2000km.

Your car needs to be serviced every year or 15,000km.

I recently did the last service plan service on my car, it was the 3rd year / 45,000km service. Even though the car only had 38,000km on the clock they service it according to what comes first. Same goes for the expiration on your service plan, distance or time which ever comes first.

Depends on the car, some newer cars have longer service intervals and some don't have set intervals at all and you basically have to wait for the computer to tell you when it's due for a service.
 
True, and its only a matter of time before that becomes the norm in all cars being sold. If we don't go all electric before then.
