Warranty OR Service Plan OR Maintenance Plan - what are the considerations is there a rule of thumb on which one to get with say a used vehicle with 30000km. what does it all mean anyway
Warranty - If items break under warranty, they will fix it
Service Plan - Dealer only pays for services, no extras
Maintenance plan - All of the above, plus extras, like wiper blades for instance
It depends what you are buying. Most cars that have done 30 000km will still have a warranty, the more expensive ones will also have a service/maintenance plan.
Maintenance plan is comprehensive and will give you the most peace of mind. It costs more than service plan but that depends on the car you buying. At 30 000kms, for most cars, a service plan will do just fine.
