I have left this a bit late but our moving date is a little up in the air at the moment...

I have just applied for a relocation on the 26th November but I obviously need to give a calendar months notice. Is it just easier to give a months notice to cancel at our current home and then submit a new application for a line at our new house say a day or two before we move?

Hi, the move process basically includes the cancellation of the original location. So rather
follow the move wizard as it does it all for you.

Thanks, I am not sure what the move wizard is? I applied for a Relocation and got a call from support stating that I must cancel my existing service and apply for a new service.

Login to coolzone there is a service relocation wizard. Can you PM me the support ref?

I did that, the following tickets were logged...

#COOL-20221031-1047538

#COOL-20221031-1047668

I was then contacted telephonically and told to cancel my current service and apply for a new service when ready which will suit us better as I would rather have some overlap between the two services despite the additional cost as I WFH.

Cool then I would follow what the connect team advise.

I will do so, thanks for the assistance.

One last question, the R999 setup fee, is that mandatory even if the fibre line is in place, CPE in place and I will use my own router?
Yeap unfortunately we are charged a connection fee on every line, including existing ones.

Strangely, I have been contacted by three separate representatives of CISP now  The latest tells me relocation request has effectively been processed, current service will end on 30/11 so hopefully the new service will be available on the 26/11 like I requested.

It all just depends on the line being available, we can take it over whenever so long as its available.

The previous owners have cancelled their service which was through Afrihost and we have taken occupation of the property so I would expect the line to be available by the 26th November.

Unless the service is set to end at the end of November. At least we have some contacts at AH

I'll check but remember the previous owner saying that it was set to end at the end of October. It should be simple to have the line tested?
We can enquire but once we apply we typically only know.

@PBCool - I may have a bit of a dilemma with proof of address for our new house which was only registered in our name at the end of October. I have asked the Operations Coordinators who have responded to our new order what we can use for proof of address because all we have at the moment is a title deed.

Hi, have you enquired with the connect team? I imagine they have dealt with this before [email protected]

Sorry, I only saw this now, I managed to come right with the title deed but did black out the previous owners ID numbers to avoid POPI issues. Line has apparently been activated, I have received the pro-rata invoice which I need to settle and then setup at the new house shortly before we move in.
