Service Sucks

2 of our Telkom lines (Analogue and ADSL) were down this morning.

I had to call 2 different numbers to report these faults. On the 0800 375 375 ADSL number I had to hold for more than 30 min, after a consultant Mark answered the call. While explaining the problem the line was dropped. I had to call again .. Same story, this time I held for 20 min, and the call was dropped, before anyone answered.

Now I tried to report our analogue line to the 10212 number, again I had to wait 20 minutes before the call was answered. The lady now gave me an 0800 11 5357 number, which stays engaged, even after 1 hour.

I can hardly wait for the new service provider - honestly!
 
Now come on rupertvz, you have to understand these call-centre operatives.
arrive at work, spent half hour drinking tea and talking
take one call then watch TV
time for tea-break, lasts for 1hr
take one call then maybe chat some more
lunchtime, 1hr
take one call then time for soapies on TV
tea-break again, 1hr
aish it is 4:00pm time to go home

meanwhile the queue of callers is at least 20 if not 30
 
Telkom are apparently in skeleton staff mode at the moment, so the service will suck harder than usual.
