Hey guys.

Does anyone have a diagram on how to set this up? I'm on my way to go get an HD-PVR (after watching the rugby in HD at my brother-in-laws place I thought fsck it! I'm getting me this).

So, since I already have an 1131 it makes sense to get the benefit of XtraView. I'm happy to say that when I had DSTV installed I was forward thinking, I slipped a couple of notes into the bloke's hand to replace the single LNB with a twin LNB and run another length of cable into the lounge. I mainly did this because I was looking at buying another 1131 so that we can hook up the TV in the main bedroom as well.

Do I have to move the 1131 to the room or can I leave it in the lounge (I'm thinking that that piercing green light will work on my nerves in the bedroom :) )

Anything else that I need to buy when I go buy the HD-PVR later?

Thanks for the help boys and girls :)

I'm probably just being lazy, but the guide talks about a 1110. how much different is it to the 1131?

So am I correct in saying the only thing I really have to buy is a 2x4 muftiswitch? The TV in the room is already linked to the decoder in the lounge (obviously a single view config)

For HD and Extraview you will also need a dual LNB as well as the multiswitch. If you have a single view currently then you will have a single LNB.

Plus you will obviously need to run an additional cable from the dish

Somehow I doubt you've read my OP :D

There are trade offs between same room vs seperate rooms. Checkout http://forum.dstv.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=424&d=1252342006 see installation 2A vs 2B.

Major difference is if you leave them in same room, you'll need to get a TV Link/Eye to change channels from the other room. This complicates the installation a bit (additionally requires T- piece & DC block).
