Help needed .I am a non geek speak novice know how to surf the web /use blackberry messanger etc.dont know about html cms and all that .I would like to set up a ecommerce site. The domain name is available in co.za and com.We will have 500 items to sell shipping would be included clothing and shoes.I saw a lot of hosts hit you heavy charges if you have this many products. Is this the right route to go go with hostgator with com and co za with cpanel so we can manage stock availbility and then get somebody to add oscommerce with payfast .Oro potion 2 as above with paypal and add extra for international shipping .Should we do both at once or just concentratre on local first.Any affordable and easy to use (for non geek speak )advice would be helpfull. The reason i am asking about hostgator /bluehost etc is their fees are cheap long term.I assume you would need a programmer to hire just to get everything organised for you set up propley and then train you in use of backend. We are a cape town based business. We enquired on websites being built and guys were speaking of 8000 to 55000.Thanks in a nutshell non geekspeak 500 items to sell wanto manage own stock from backend payfast shipping included poss later paypal and extra international shipping/ease of use and affordable thanks wayne

Can try the auto-installers of most ISPs and software such as OpenCart (my preference).

Take a look at www.eshop.co.za - already integrated with courier services and payfast.

ecommerce site

Thanks for the reply s /am busy with hostgator very easy so far with weebly drop website builder just unsure on the shipping cart io hope it will be compatiable with opencart and then marry it to payfast and later paypal. It only supports .com domain but it does allow you to point domains. If i have a lot of issues on shopping cart side i will use eshop with payfast.

Look at Shopify or eshop.co.za(local version)

Like the open source carts you get but easy to setup for non computer person and looks great!
