Hi,

Hoping someone can give some info here, not sure if installer is BS'ing me. We got an Explora, now set as primary and the HD PVR is secondary. Both decoders are downstairs and both feed signal to upstairs TV. We have a link eye to change channels, it works for the PVR, but not the Explora. Installer says he has enabled this option on the Explora, recons because its not working...something wrong with Explora. Says I must take it to MC to get tested - which is a real pain as they are quite far away.

Anyone had this issue before, is it maybe a setting issue or do I have to use a specific link eye?

I couldn't get the link to work on an Explorer this weekend either. No other decoders connected.

I ran out of time last weekend, but on Saturday I will go into the ceiling and look for a splitter that might be the problem.
It is not my house, so it may have something I don't know about.

The installer changed the splitter but said if the link eye works for the PVR and doesnt work for the Explora, it has to be the Explora at fault as they both use the same cable. Unfortunately that does make sense...was hoping there was a simple thing though that might have been missed..

Did you manage to solve this issue ?

Nope, unfortunately not. I was told it could be the cable running from PVR's to upstairs TV that needs to be replaced, as that might be the issue. This doesn't make sense as the HD PVR I can change channels with it's remote on TV upstairs. I then change the channel on TV to the Explora and then use the Explora remote...and nothing.

Surely if it was the cable being the problem, it means the link eye wouldn't work for both the HD PVR and the Explora?
