Hi
Having trouble setting up a striped set in Windows 2003 Enterprise Edition.
I have 2 sata Samsung 320gb F4 spinpoint HDDs, core i5 processor, intel dh55hc motherboard and 4gb mem.
I have converted both disks to dynamic.
All options are grayed out when selecting new volume in disk management console on the second hdd.

Any ideas?

Have you created a new volume on the first hard drive?

Then create a new volume on second hard drive, hold in Shift (I think), select both volumes and create a stripe set.

You cannot add the C: drive to a striped set IIRC.

If you had C:, D: and E: (three HDD's) then you can add D: and E: to a striped set to create drive D:

Another way to get the two to stripe/mirror is to get the RAID controller to do it without any software RAID setups.

Make sure that the mirrored drive is not slightly smaller than the primary disk. Even identical disks can vary by a few kb.
