Hi Guys,

Not very clued up on wireless so I am hoping someone could help me out.

A friend of mine needs internet while he waits for telkom to install his line. He will most likely get a vodacom or mtn card. Now the problem is that he needs to share this internet connection with 2 other pc's wirelessly....

SO my question is this: is it possible, using his Telkom Billion wireless router to create a wireless network and share the vodacom / mtn connection with the other machines? My gut feel is yes it is possible as why would having Telkom internet make any difference, but not sure. The other machines are all wireless ready by the way.

Hope that makes sense ;)

If all of these computers are already wirelessly connected,
you can share your internet connection to the other computers with internet connection sharing (ICS). Remove the pin from the 3g modem's sim and setup a standard "dail up" connection to the internet use *99# as the phone nr. Share the connection by going to properties- advanced - allow other users to connect through this computer's internet connection. If the computers are within range of each other you don't really need the wireless router, just setup a ad-hoc network between the computers.

Cheers, thanks for the help.
