I have three TV's in my home and the main one has a DSTV Explorer 2A connected and the explorer is connected to the TV via HDMI cable and it works well.
The cables then run through a Samsat4 way amplifier to the other two tv's. However the quality of those two extra tv's is not good at all. I checked the UHF Tuning in system settings on the Explorer 2A and it is set to ch63.
Should it not be set to another channel for the tv's to get a decent signal?

I have got a DSTV HD model 4a and would like to connect that to one of the tv's so that those two tv's can work independently. How do I do that with the above setup. Do I split the incoming signal coming in from the antenna and have one going to each DSTV box or not?

Please advise would be appreciated.

Comparing the 2 secondary TVs with the main TV cannot be a good comparison, because your main TV is on HDMI, while the "UHF" for the secondaries are very old tech and will never satisfy.
Yes you might try to change the frequency from 63, but do not expect miracles. There might be slight improvements, but only if there is interference of some sorts on 63.

Hi Thanks for the reply. I changed the frequency to 21 and the picture is better but will never be HDMI Quality. Another question. I have another decoder being a decoder 4U.

How do I connect this to one of the bedrooms and replace the UHF connection. I only have one input coming from the dish on the top of the building.

Any help would be appreciated.
