setup problems, can only visit telkom sites

Hi guys, got a problem

Bought a modem from incredible connection, shiro dsl805E, comes wit 3G free for 3 months. set up everything and verified line with telkom.
Now can only visit telkom.co.za, cant use google.co.za or any other sites.
What am I doing wrong

Help please
 
The Telkom guest account does that. You need to put *your* username and password into the router.
 
u need to login into the router. and setup the router to use/dailin on the username/pass that was given to you.

the guest username of telkom can only visit the telkom website.

set up my router properly, then called telkom, they dont know anything about my modem so the problem "must be from my ISP".
Called my ISP, helped set up my modem (again), then escalated the call to a higher staus.
Got a call back from ilive dude, explaining that the problem cannot be on their side, as the ASDL does work, even tho it only "visits"telkom the site.

Telkom are like BMW drivers who read a 600 page manual on the car, but cant operate the indicators. So telkom finally figure out how to answer the call after 45 mins, and the guy is out to blame the ISP, after 20 mins of giving the right answers, he finally concedes defeat and says "there might be a problem with the line"
Its been more than 50 hours but i guess they might be working on the problem, meanwhile i'll probably get billed for my line even tho its not working properly....

BLOODY TELKOM, what more can I say...

hmmm did you verify the line by entering your order number on one the telkom verification pages ?
 
Why on earth did you go for iLive!?!?!?!?!??! That was the first mistake ;)

Is your VPI/VCI on 8/35? When you entered your ADSL username and password you did click "Save to Flash" and restart your modem?
 
I did verify the line, about 20 times.
When i called telkom, they siad that the verifying of the lne did not PASS.
I bought my modem from incredible connection, it was R699 for a SHIRO modem and includes 3G X 3 months for R699. found it to be worth it even tho i signed up with XDSL.
Telkom did come home to sort out the problem, the guy couldnt find anything wrong so he figured it was either the modem or the ISP. he connected his modem and connected with his telkom setting/account and it worked 100 percent, so it meant that i had to either change the modem or call ILIVE again.
After he went, i tried connecting, AND IT WORKED...
Maybe my modem couldnt get to verify the line, thats all that makes sense to me.

Its all working now, no problems . . .
