Hi

I have a server that is hosted by an ISP and I have a domain name that points to it.

How can I get subdomains? I don't have cpanel or anything like that, its a Linux server only.

I know how to setup apache to redirect the subdomain where I want it to do, but it doesn't resove...

so do I need to get the isp involved for this? I want to have these subdomains resolve to dynamic IP's (sort of like dyndns).

Is it possible?

thanks

thanks, but I can setup apache to handle the subdomains (i think) but the dns name doesn't resolve to the IP address of the server.

so I have domain example.com, and I want to have a subdomain some.example.com, I setup apache like the post above but some.example.com doesn't reslove to an IP address so it never works.
