not sure how many people here heard about GSYNC , but it's one of the new feature Nvidia is heavily marketing on.

refer to below for a simple introduction - no screen tearing and stuttering.

by the way , heard this AORUS X5 is coming in with a retail price R35999 vat incl. take me to their website.

i know ~ expensive ! but it does offer some good stuff like

  • Intel 5th gen. CPU - Broadwell.

  • GTX965 SLI with 8GB of VRAM. ( performance is 20% better than one single GTX980. )

  • Hardware live-streaming engine. ( with Avermedia encoder card obviously. )

more details.

Now , enjoy the video.

I think you're missing a zero in that price, otherwise I'll take five, thank you very much.

not a "0" i missed , actually a "9". thanks for correction though.

still wanna take 5 ? lol

That's pushing it quite a bit. Have never had any game tear as badly as that promo video

Where'd you get the rrp? And any idea when it hits SA?

RRP came from Rectron of course , they sole distributor for Gigabyte and AORUS.

and probably mid of July.

G-Sync is coming to quite a few notebooks from the big vendors, including the updated MSI GT72 which will also feature Tobii eye tracking technology and 5700HQ processors. I haven't seen it in person but by all accounts it does make a very big difference to the gameplay experience and virtually eliminates stutter as long as the framerate stays above 30fps.

Sexy yet Powerful !!!!

New tech radar hands on review is out, love the machine except for 2 things, battery life and noise...

I can still live with low battery life but noise is an issue

noise is inevitable in such a thin chasis , however .. they give u a software that customize the fan speed according to your own preference.
maybe it can be more managed this way.

Noise doesnt bother me at all. As i always play games with headset. But using it in workplace is a bit embarrassing.

Anyway , still quite cool to pack 2 gfxs in a slim notebook.

Well done AORUS.

Just got a quick update from Rectron , these beasts will arrive before end of July with limited stocks.
