Hi guys,

For the best part of the past 2 years I have been able to stream Supersport's live feed via my Tab (first with a Tab 1, and since Sept '12 with Tab 2), but the last couple of months it just keeps hanging on "authenticating".

I installed Chrome browser today to see if it's a browser (stock and Dolphin have been used), but now it says Flash Player is required to play the video and does not even get to authentication stage.

I do have Flashplayer 11 (updated version on 11 June 2013) installed, but I've read OS versions after Android 4.0.xx no longer support Flash.

Any thoughts on why this could be or how to fix?

Streaming also not working on SGS2 (ICS 4.0.3) but it's not a DSTV-account (required to access SS's stream) issue as it works if I stream via laptop. It does ask me to allow Flash player to access my computer on laptop though before it starts working.

Please help, struggling to get through a days work without my sports streaming on the side!

I also sometimes watch the games on SS and as you stated the newer Andriod don't longer support flash. Well never fear there is a way to around it.

Install Boat Browser and then install the latest version of Flash.

Once in Boat Browser you will notice that SS goes to the mobi site, in order to go to the full site do the following:

1. Open Boat Browser
2. Click the menu button (the one to the left of the home button)
3. Click Settings
4. Click Page content settings
5. Click Set user agent --> Desktop

This is how I got it to work on my S4. Maybe try this and let us know if this works on you Tab as well

no luck, it still hangs on the "authenticating" screen...

will call dstv and see if the issues is from that side, but unlikely as I can still access it with same account via my laptop.

Didn't some of the guys mention the stream is FUBAR at the moment? Haven't checked in ages

If you tablet has flash player installed it only works on the stock browser and specific others (check on Play Store). Chrome does not support flash.

I have tried 4 different browsers: Stock, Chrome, Dolphin and Boat... Still no luck... I manually installed the latest Flash Player from the site and still no luck.

MC Nic from the DSTV Forum got back to me and said that according to the techies at SS, this is due to Google dropping flash support and will only be resolved once the 'build' a new streaming interface on a different support base html 5 or something)
