Shadow VR - the headset taking on Oculus

Chinese company Shadow Creator announced its new standalone VR headset at HTC's Vive event yesterday.

Notably, the Shadow VR is set to become the first standalone VR headset available to consumers - Oculus Quest is only set to release theirs in 6 months time.

I remember when journalism actually required, you know, journalism. Seeing as the Oculus Go has been available for a while I don't see how this can be called the first standalone headset available to consumers. And there is also the daydream based Lenovo Mirage Solo.

So that would make it the third standalone headset available to consumers. It's not even the first 6 DOF standalone headset, that would be the Mirage Solo I believe. So it is the first with 6 DOF controllers (unless Solo ones get released soon)
