So I recently noticed that my Prepaid Sim card would have no active data bundle and yet Vodacom will just continue the internet session with airtime!?
I have never opted in for this and was under the impression that you have to actually agree first for out of bundle usage manually by law, The default should be not to allow out of bundle usage on any network in SA unless one agrees to it first?

Anyways went into the *111# menu and had to go through 4-5 pages to get to "out-of-bundle limit lock" and had to set a rand value and opt-in before it would actually work. Funny how it is so easy to opt-in but never to opt-out ay Vodacom;)

Yip .. I had a Run in with them in 15: the SOB 'tches let it run along at a mild pace over my limit : But at R2 a Mb , I found myself Rapidly into the 2 k Mark over and above my "limit". Their excuse was that i failed ot log off, and hence, they let it roll .
Lovely .

Recently , same issue ; Just Cancelling a 6 year long contract with them proved to be an insurmountable task for them : After 2 Months warning , trying to do everything in my power to prevent me somehow forgetting to cancel it 30 Days' prior , etc , I've had to initiate a stop order against them which , God forbid , Is even out by a single cent, and it Goes through . Cancelling , opting out , Numerous Phone Calls : No luck .

Getting In , far Easier than getting out ....
