Shaik doctors deny saying he should be released!

It's believed that the Parole Board's decision was based on a report by the three doctors, one of one of whom is believed to have only recently qualified.

However, the three doctors deny ever saying to Correctional Services that Shaik was terminally ill and that he should be released. Their lawyer Altus van Rensburg says: "The purpose of this section of the Correctional Services Act is to ensure that patients get to be sent home to die a dignified death. That is certainly not stipulated in any of their written documentation that I have.”

The Parole Board released him, not the doctors. The doctors can only make a recommendation. I suppose an inmate can of course also request the parole.
