I fully understand what you said, but there's no way to compare the two in a real way, since I can't obtain a SAIX uncapped package's price to compare to a leased line, so I opted for a full-use scenario (which should work out to the same thing, I hope ...). I still believe that no matter how you look at it, SAIX ADSL is more expensive.Roman4604 said:I agree with your calculations, however thats not what I said. Throughput does not equal traffic .... rather it refers to line speed (e.g. 1 Mbps).
<Edit>
Stupid me ... the answer just came to me ...
45 Mbps = R 1000,000.00.
1.25 Mbps is R42833.49609375 = R 42,833.50 (R95 + VAT * 395.5078125GB/30 days)
1.25 * 72 = 90 Mbps (45 Mbps * 2).
R 42,833.50 * 72 = R 3,084,011.72
So 72 1Mbps DSL lines should have the same throughput, at 3 times the price.

The breakeven point is 3.08401172. If you use more than 128.24458802640347942646599280758 GB, the STM1 will be cheaper, if you use less, the DSL line will be cheaper.
Of course, if I had a truly uncapped account at a reasonable price that didn't shape everything into the ground, I would do a lot of video and audio streaming, remote desktops via a VPN, VoIP, being a Skype supernode, etc, and I would also hook up the other 3 units in the complex to said link and share the cost between us. It's gonna be hard to say how much I would use up.
