Hi guys,

Anyone ever coded a custom solution to audit items on SP 2007? Worked on some code to get it working kinda but it's not coming out right. MSDN examples are for Document Libraries.
Thoughts? Solutions? Prayers?

are you looking at something site wide or just a specific list/document library? I have done a custom webpart (where you could create/update/delete an item) and it logged all the audit information in a separate list. But those were very specific requirements I might add.
 
^ exactly this but Site-wide.

I just had a look at the link you send through... it does explain how to do it on lists, its just further down in the document. What errors are you getting when you try to implement this?
