Hi guys,
what i would like to do is share my usb 3g internet connection via a wireless router.
I have a nintendo wii i'd like to share the connection with but i dont have adsl nor a router to set it up wirelessly.
my question is,would i beable to share an internet connection (win xp / vodafone k3765[converted to hauwei E1762] and a router) possibly this one http://www.asus.com/Networks/Wireless_Routers/WL330gE/#specifications ? or this one
http://www.citrusmicro.com/Intellinet-Wireless-300N-4-Port-Router-524490-p/524490.htm
I can pick one of those up for about R399 at a local store.
I would like to keep the price down though so any suggestions would be most welcome.
thanks:)
P.S Im sorry if i posted this in the wrong place

You should be able to share it, but it won't be easy - although we should be able to help you through all the steps.

If you're using a laptop with that 3G device, then you could just use the laptop's WiFi as a WiFi AP. This way would be both easier and free to setup

Hey Pada, thanks for the quick reply.Yes i am currently using a laptop with it.
How would i go about setting it up?the laptop is an Acer Aspire 5333 running windows xp sp3

hi again.
Got all the settings in the laptop, works well with my phone finding the apn and connecting via wifi. The problem is the wii, when setting it up,it sees the apn,i try and connect, but then it fails, saying it cant find the apn,and that i must make sure the ssid is correct.I am going to try another laptop 2mro tho

hey guys
so after much tweaking and fiddling,i was unable to get the above mentioned setup working.the wii just dislikes adhoc connections.I did however find a way to get a similar setup, only difference is it was on a friends laptop running win7 and an awesome app called Connectify.it allowed me to set up an AP that the wii could access(altho i did have to disable his av and firewall during testing, just to see if it would work),and that it did.So im guessing i have to upgrade then lol :).and Thank you Pada for pointing me in the right direction,i owe you

Just get a 3G router...better in performance.

Sharing through a laptop isnt very stable, especially for gaming.

Another way is get an android phone and use the 3G hotspot feature, mine works very well
