I have a a large series collection on my home server which due to space and growth ideas i have had to split over two drives. I have mapped the folders as network drives on the machines in the house. HOwever what i want to do is rather than have a share called " Series 1" and "Series 2" i want one called Series.

The server has Windows server 2008 R2 on it.I looked into DFS but all i could get it to do was join the shares so i still have two folders within that share called " Series 1" and "Series 2".

Is there anyway to get a share that only has all both the folders combined but showing their relevant subfolders?

How about creating a Windows Library, and sharing that? Never tried it myself though. It seems to be limited to homegroups only.

You could mount the partitions into folders on a third drive?

Edit: it seems you can only do this in XP

Imo, the best way to get around this is to use XBMC and assign those two folders to your TV category.
