Hi there,
I don't see how this is possible but thought I would ask in case I am wrong.
A user wants not only to make a folder that contains an excel spreadsheet available offline for multiple users (already I see a problem), but of course also wants to share that workbook so that any changes made by each individual user to that spreadsheet is added to it without overwriting other user data when they syncronise the changes.
Office 2003 and Windows XP SP3.
Firstly I see that Windows file sync will have errors because of the different versions of online and offline files for all users. Even if it could, which I doubt, it would simply overwrite the entire file without simply modifying it and keeping all other data intact.
But then there is the workbook sharing feature in Office 2003 which I have never really played around with. I could see this feature working in an online environment for multiple users but still not working with Windows sync and offline files.
Any suggestions? Or at least tell me if there is no way around this? Thanks
