Hi Guys,

I don't know if this is possible via one network card but I just have one network card and one router.
I have setup the PPPoE connection on my pc and NOT via the router. I have my wireless enabled on my router and would like to know if can I route any connection from a certain Internal IP address to go and use my pc's internet sharing?

Like so?

yeah like that, but my question is how do you route an IP or MAC or all connections from the router through to the pc.
Remember I am not using my routers PPPoE connection but the windows PPPoE. My laptop is connected to the router but the router isn't supplying the internet connection so there is no internet on my laptop and that's why I need to router through to the pc

I would suggest you setup PPPoE on your router. That way your wired and wireless pcs can connect to the internet (making the assumption that you are connecting to the internet by DSL or mobile data on the router)

How would I go on about setting up a proxy server then, with an extra network card.So I can give the extra pc's in my house access but limiting the usage. Instead of having a switch or hub connected to the 2nd network card, what would I need to make the proxy server wireless? router/Modem on my first NIC and do you get wifi switches for my 2nd nic?

I have come to terms of what I want to do want work with 1 NIC

I'd agree with this. It is possible to do it otherwise, but using the router to do its job is the best option, in my opinion. Although you haven't given any reason for running it the way you are, so it is difficult to judge.

Otherwise, disable DHCP on the router, enable ICS on the PC, so that your PC is now responsible for issuing DHCP leases, IP addresses, and most importantly, the default route, which will point to your PC instead of the router.

I manages to setup a proxy server using ccproxy with 1 network card. Thanks for the info/help guys
