there were a lot of factors but the main one was that we lost to the better side on the day, no shame in it and I don't blame any one guy in the Sharks team for it. I'm a supporter ..... thick and thin, good times and bad. I've already moved past it and will be supporting the Cheetahs next weekend. Maybe the rest of you should also move past it .... supporters aren't supposed to have hatred for their players.

I am with you here, M_H. They had a gr8 season and their depth was obvious while the Boks were away. Cheetahs played a superb game, never gave up and kept the pressure up.

No point in blaming anyone. I am happy for the Cheetahs, who have had to fight hard just to get into the semis. I do hope they can give the Bulls a helluva run and come away with the trophy.

As with the chaps I watched with, I am already looking forward to the Super 14. I hope the Sharks have a great time away from the "office" and come back to kick butt in February 2010!

Sharks Forever!

shame, you really are a pair of losers .......

I do believe the sharks are the losers this weekend ;)

Isn't amazing how many loud mouths there are after the fact. Some of these guys made no predictions or comments prior to yesterday's games and yet here they are now quoting other people's posts and making snide remarks... It is so easy to act smart after an event isn't it?

And Penguin you are still ignored by me for a reason (but it is great to see you still can't resist stalking me... Sad sad sad little boy!) but unfortunately it does not block your posts when someone else quotes them. If you had a little knowledge of rugby you would realise it is very rarely (if ever!) the scrum half who is in a position to take a drop kick! Further to this if you actually watched the game you will see that the wasted drop kick opportunities I was referring to were actually taken by Adi, Stefan and Juan... And the other wasted kicks were usually up and unders, again performed by numerous members of the Sharks backline. Clearly under instruction from someone (captain? coach?) but very unlikely that the someone was Ruan.

PS Sorry to see that you obviously still don't have a life of your own and you still need me ;)

Shame lance is preaching yet he trolls the Bulls thread.

Also Lance to keep one's mouth shut is sometimes the best response. There was no shame in not saying I KNOW BLAHBLAHBLAH..... I satated i believe it willbe a bulls vs sharks final but that it would be to close to call. I was right in the too close to call... Both semis being won by 2 points and in the last 4 mins of the game.

Please stop opening your mouth to swap feet.

You have the 9th highest amount of posts in the "Bulls rock" thread (I believe Mephisto_Helix has even more), so I should assume you are Bulls supporters.

Assumptions are never a good thing ;)

+1

And I also think the weekend showed that pienaar is a talented player yet steyn has the potential to become a great flyhalf. He is looking better and more diverse every weekend. Wonder if he will be on WP's shopping list for next season :p

at 1 point I cant believe that Pienaar or Hernandez didnt take that penalty we had just over halfway, Monty never slotted those before!

Also WTF? 3 drop goal attempts when we were attacking soo well??? spread the *****ing ball!!!

Well its over now, Super 14/15 next....

I have to say that the last 5 games the sharks had building up to the semies where a little less then sub average performances. they where lucky to get to semies in the end.

I'm a big Sharks supporter and that will not change but lets face it they just where not up for the challenge this year

I think the sharks would have stood a better chance to beat the Cheetahs if Plumtree did not make the mistake they normally do, playing the Springboks in a settled side, too many choices.

Looking at this weekends matches, the Sharks would have beaten both WP and Bulls and been playing the cheetahs in the Final.

As for the Cheetahs, I am glad they won, now they can bring the Currie Cup Home. Vrystaat!!! Funny enough, I predicted the Final - Though not on this thread but on Supersport.

PS. I think the ref might of missed a Cheetahs try.

Correct!

I agree with M_H, there were plenty of factors and no single player can be "blamed". You win as a team and lose as a team.

GO SHARKS!

/Cheetahs for the CC :D

IF ONLY EVERYONE ON THIS FORUM WERE INTELLIGENT ENOUGH TO REALISE RUGBY IS A TEAM SPORT! Some people just won't get it.

well the problem with that statement is that if Morne steyn missed 7/7 kicks I am sure you will be the first one to point out that he lost the game for which ever side he was playing....

Well given... but

1 player can't really win you the game, but he can lose the game for you???

@McT: haha, cool reply man, thought youll go all pissy about it, but you handled it.... :)

Well not sure what you expect us to be discussing? ;)

A bit like chatting in a thread about the last soccer world cup. Pointless really.
