Sharks Supporters Thread

well let's just say the Bulls are more cynical at it ........ not to mention getting too much joy from the fact ...... like creepy joy :p

Oh but you have bismarck, and that man revels in the art of dirty tactics

atm he can't even handle a frikkin ball let alone engage in dirty tactics, lol :D

Well no matter how much we take the wind out of each other, atleast we both support the only two rugby teams in south africa

Anybody have any idea about how the Sharks could make it into the semi's? I know they have to beat the bulls with a bonus point but what about the other games involving the Waratahs, Crusaders and etc?

Maybe the bulls should let you guys win :p but we just want the two points for a home semis :D

If the Bulls let the Shark win by a milestone they can end up higher than the Chiefs, if the Brumbies win ofcourse and the Chiefs get NOTHING out of it... Score atm 7 - 7

Haha, Sharks really need a lot of ifs and buts

I think it works out better for the Sharks if the Chiefs win without a bonus point.

The easiest way for the Sharks is if:

Chiefs beat Brumbies
Blues Beat Saders
Sharks beat Bulls

or

The Sharks can sneak into the Vodacom Super 14 semi-finals even if the Crusaders do beat the Blues in Auckland in their final league match on Friday.
While many are assuming that a Crusaders win will be enough to ease the Sharks out of contention, that is not quite correct. When the Sharks watch the Auckland game on television on Friday morning, they will be hoping for a Blues win as first prize – but a Crusaders win without a four try bonus point would be enough to at least keep them in contention.

Provided the Chiefs do what they are expected to do by beating the Brumbies in Hamilton on Saturday, it would mean that the Sharks will still have hopes of making the semifinals when they start their match against the Bulls at ABSA Stadium late on Saturday afternoon.

The catch, of course, is that they will have to score four tries against the 2007 winners, which would enable them to go level with the Crusaders (and the Brumbies if they beat the Chiefs) on log points. Both teams are one log point ahead of the Sharks at present, but both also have inferior points differences in comparison to the Durban team.

If the Sharks are set the task of beating the Bulls by a big score, it will be a massive ask given the defensive capabilities of the Bulls.

Indeed, thats what they did...

10 - 7 for the Chiefs...

Now the Crusadors just need to win without a bonus point and the Sharks should just beat the Bulls...

Right, thats one result gone the Sharks way, 2 to go.

Damn i wish the Sharks did not have to rely on other teams, but its our only chance

Lions vs Waratahs tonight - Crusaders vs Blues tomorrow morning and the Sharks vs Bulls game.

Gonna throw a spanner in the works here....

but if you need so many things to happen for your team to get into the semi's , you probably don't deserve to be there...

You guys shouldn't go and hope for this result and that result, go look back at the Reds and Cheetahs games, and ask what went wrong there?

just my 2c....

unfortunately i'm a bulls supporter, and the chiefs won, so i want the bulls to win (had the chiefs lost, a loss for the bulls could have still seen them on top of the log)

1st, leave your fanboy comments at ze door .... 2nd, most Sharks fans have said we don't belong in the semi's but being that we actually support our team through thick and thin, we will still get behind them for a semi spot k .....
