Have to disagree with you. If anything he is too good for his own good. He needed a strong mentor who would have forced him to play in a single position (imo scrumhalf) and not all over the backline.
Do not think for a moment lance will let go of his Ruan pienaar action figure so easily. He believes he is the best flyhalf in world rugby and that he will single handedly win us anything.. If lance could he would wisper into Calos' ear to make RP striker for bafana bafana in the WC....
I think Pienaar is very good as soon as he gets into the NR 9 jersey

And you see what you guys have created.... people who feel that Pienaar is not at all talented and only got where he is because of his father!
And I will still claim that Pienaar offers a lot more at flyhalf than some of the other preferred fly halves in this country. He offers another dimension... unfortunately that dimension is apparently not nurtured in this country. We prefer our fly halves to stay clean and kick a lot. I say find a full back that does this!
Don't expect any Bulls fans to say anything other than stupid comments like all the Bulls should be Boks. It is their mentality....

Hougaard was never as good at scrummie as pienaar imo. Also would you really move hougaard from wing where he is show casing his running abillity? How many times did he let the stormers defence look plain last night? Also pienaar is a much better kicker than hougaard imo

Yes Lance we all saw how good he was in the bok colours.... Steyn scored 5 tries this S14 yet you claim he is a 1-dim player... Shame lance you really really can only be pitied. I mean steyn breaking Dan carter's record must just go a long way to prove your point that steyn is a sub-par player.
Pienaar this season looked like the greatly talented player from 3 years ago... why? O wait because he regained confidence playing in his prefered position!

O btw I am wondering which flyhalves you were refering to for the boks. Are you saying pienaar is better than Butch who was (together with the argentinian flyhalf) the best flyhalf in the WC of 2007? Or are you saying pienaar is better than.... o wait there has not really been another flyhalf for the boks in the last 4 years than butch and steyn and pienaar... Or do you believe Pienaar is better than Pienaar (this would not amaze me)?
don't worry lance I am sure you will now make some remarks on my statements like :" The bulls supporters are barbarians" or "The sharks can beat any team they only need the right ref" or even "Pienaar's unibrow is my balcony to the soul of rugby". Pienaar is not as good as Rory Cockett at #9. His tactical kicking is erratic and his place kicking is even dodgier than Gaffie Du Toit's ever was. I'm really glad to see that he is leaving.
I'd love to see Willem De Waal play #10 for the Sharks with Cockett at #9. Lambie at fullback is looking good and we have a few decent centres too (excluding Terblanche, who really needs to be put out to pasture once and for all).

Only problem I have with Cockett is not even his own team mates seem to like him and no matter how good a player is if the team moral suffers I would not play him. But I agree he is really talented.
I have a better idea.

Secondly - this whole Kockett is unliked thing: pure crap ..... he and the coach have a stormy relationship, for whatever reason. Kockett and most of the team regularly do things outside of rugby and obligation stuff - in other words, they hang out with each other. It's the same crud as the 'There's trouble in the Sharks camp' speculation from the upcountry media.
