Sharks Supporters Thread

How the TJ can call that a punch and worthy of a yellow card is beyond me ...... it was the usual handbags stuff ........ chop.

These chops are being allowed to get away with murder ffs, who is this <insert afrikaans word for box> Ref that is more concerned with shouting "Play on" than doing any actual officiating.

Edit - wow, this has now become disgusting with what they are being allowed to do ... even down to the ref winking at the Griquas player :wtf:

I am officially withdrawing my support for the Sharks under that Kiwi idiot, Plumtree. And to play Terblanche as captain? WTF?

Good to see that the Sharks still have no plans at all to move stadiums .......

Man am I digging Mvovo more and more ...... for someone still so 'new' to the game, he sure is learning fast :D Can't find much fault in the team from yesterday at all, everyone played their part and it was nice to see the team gel so much better than the Griquas game. Let's hope this is the start of a winning spree ;)

Daniel hat-trick helps Sharks to win
by Jason Humphries 23/07/2010, 20:47

Keegan Daniel scored three tries to help the Sharks to a hard-fought 27-17 win (half-time 10-17) over the Pumas in their Absa Currie Cup match at Absa Stadium in Durban on Friday.

Scorers

The Sharks - Tries: Keegan Daniel (3), Charl McLeod; Conversions: Patrick Lambie (2); Penalty: Lambie.

Pumas - Tries: Christo Le Roux, Ronnie Uys; Conversions: Ricardo Croy (2); Drop goal: Croy.

A big pity Pienaar is almost at Ulster, 1 of the greatest talents lost to Europe

He is out for six weeks due to an AC injury so effectively he has played his last game for the Sharks. Interested to see whether Lambie gets a run at flyhalf... could that be the future for Springbok rugby?

I would like to see him stay at fullback and for Steve Meyer to be given a longer run at #10.

The Sharks have made a number of changes for their team to play the Lions this Saturday.

Let’s start in the backline. As expected, Pat Lambie starts at flyhalf in the absence of the injured Steve Meyer with Andries Strauss filling the inside centre berth vacated by Lambie.

But it is in the forwards where most of the changes occur. Willem Alberts starts at blindside flank in place of Keegan Daniel who moves across to openside flank with Jacques Botes dropping to the bench. Al Hargreaves retakes his number 5 jersey from Ross Skeate, who moves to the bench. Beast Mtawarira takes the place of Pat Cilliers at loosehead prop while Jannie du Plessis starts at tighthead prop with Wiehan Herbst dropping out of the match 22. Bismarck will make a welcome return to rugby from the bench while Eugene van Staden will cover both prop positions from the bench, the bench is again a 5-2 split with Jean Deysel completing the forward replacements while the back replacements are Rory Kockott and Riaan Swanepoel
