;) May 2007 be as great as it can possibly be for all of ya!

This little girl has a big problem with her PC and I need need need your help pretty please!!!!!!

It does not even want to start!!!!!! Windows XP seems to be the problem and on starting up all I get is an "ERROR 22" message....

Any thoughts on what can be the problem????? Is it Windows or might it be my hardrive?

Sounds like a problem with the Windows XP boot section...

After another reboot, Windows XP was up and running (some Internet sites suggest fdisk /mbr but that's not a recovery console command under Windows XP)."
 
did that already...normally worked....aint workin no more...;)

must be something else...

Ive got Windows XP & Linux "Suse" installed.... you think that could be an additional problem?????

Hi all!

I refer to my last message dated 05/01/2007, "She is a gonner?"

The above seems to be affirmative! I tried everything from vacuuming to F8 and nothing seemed to work. The PC doesnt even respond to F8 and I cannot get into S-mode!

Suppose Ill have to format the H-drive ha? :eek:
 
do you have a windows xp cd?
have you tried to repair the installation?

do you have the SUSE installation cd's?
have you tried to repair the SUSE installation?
 
I do have a Windows XP cd. I loaded the cd and hoped the PC would boot from it but nothing happened... Its stuck at: Error 22

I re-installed my Windows XP and my Pc is up and running again... I have one major biggy though...I have no audio drivers operative!

Please help me! Where can I download drivers if Ive misplaced my Cd's??????

Help someone please?

What soundcard do you have? If it's an onboard soundcard your motherboard manual should tell you. I'm guessing it's a Realtek AC'97 though :)

GRUB is stuffed. You need to either configure it correctly or do a FIXMBR from XP's CD. This will make Windows dominant.

1. Boot up with your Windows XP disc.

2. Select the option Recovery Console.

3. At the prompt, type "fdisk /mbr" (without the quotes of course)

4. Restart your computer.
