Or Dubai. The internet has been pants here since yesterday.

Dubai Internet City (where our office is) has no internet service *at all*. Which is kind of ironic considering the name. Elsewhere there is service, but it's slooooow. Yes, even slower than in ZA

this is now going to used by telkom for their crappy services and expensive bandwidth

i can just see the headlines

ship tears apart cable causing telkom to increase bandwidth costs by more than 200%

then the follow up by carte blanch how telkom hired the ships and cut the cable to increase profits
