Hi,

Anyone else recently received marketing material from PayPal with a promotional offer for a shipping company called USADDRESS.COM? Similar service to postbox-courier and Stackry. Here is a link to their site:

I've emailed PayPal to ask about the legitimacy of the promotional email. The site seems legit and the shipping calculator can be used with amazon product URLs.

Don't know if someone has used them already. Searching USADDRESS in google for a review is a nightmare, not the best name. I've used postbox-courier before and was quite happy with the service. With Black Friday specials, I might consider using this new company if there is some feedback from PayPal's side.

why would you need another one, if one or two parcels gary is great and if consolidating then stackry...
 
@RichardG the online shipping quote for the Logitech G510s from Gary is $59 vs $52 from USADDRESS. The extra costs are the local state tax you need to pay anyway. So I'm not sure why this is 'madness'.

Like I said before, I'm happy with postbox-courier but their US depot did drop off for a while. Just though I'd mention a new option that's available.
 
Yeah Stackry's consolidation feature from the US is great, so is their Do Not Include Original Invoices checkbox ;)

I did the same. Has PayPal come back to you yet? I'm getting a bit nervous, to be honest. USPS confirmed the delivered to the USAddress.com address on December 3 - as of yet, nothing is reflected under my account (i.e. USAddress.com haven't indicated that they've received anything)...

I've emailed them - and then noticed a spelling mistake on the Contact Us page - also noticed some poor grammar in the pop-up message that appeared...

Normally we are capturing the packages before USPS are updating their status but Please note that we are experiencing minor delays with package processing this week.

Something weird about this whole thing - maybe I'm just getting paranoid...

See the address line, in their reply, supposedly of my email address (which certainly does not contain anything about holidays):

So - package has now been captured. Trying to pay, but getting error messages when I try and select Paypal.

And b.t.w. -- fine print: it's an UP to $10 discount - that (must be over) $35, is their minimum amount. My package comes in at $35.68 - after applying the voucher, I now have a "discount" [har-har] of 68c... So still paying 35$... Joy.

Right. I appear to be having a conversation with myself again, but hey.

After trying unsuccessfully to pay with Paypal over the last several hours, and only getting error messages - finally an update. :whistle:

"This shipping destination is currently not available. We are working to extend our service." - that's the new error message.
Joy.

So Paypal gets us to sign up - promising a service to ZA, with a $10 discount -- and I end up getting a $0.68 discount, and NO service (currently) to ZA.

Live and learn.
 
I never received a reply from PayPal so ended up not using USaddress in the end. Couldn't find any reviews on them and their socials media accounts were baron. New start-up before Black Friday...thought they might have too many kinks to work out and it appears they do. Hope you get your shipment soon.

Nothing odd about that at all. Email was sent to their mailing list called "Holidays in the United States".

Ah. That (rather stupidly) never occurred to me. :)

Now that things appear to be moving again - starting to relax a bit. Was worried for a while. Still needs to get here - but if it works - will probably use them again.

Yip. After a few days, could finally make the payment with Paypal. That was on Friday. Then came a very frustrating wait, where it simply said "waiting for delivery".

The package was eventually despatched on Wednesday. Tracking had it leave JFK yesterday - with expected delivery on the 17th. Hope it gets here sooner - since Custom's clearance etc., might see me miss it (off for holidays on 18th)... Oh well - will wait and see.

Did you get your package? used them again?

I did. Worked out about R400 cheaper than had I gone via BoB. Delivered to my office door, and I had no additional Customs fees.

Pressure was a bit on, due to my wanting it before I went on leave - had I not been pressed, would've been far more chilled. Website was a bit unfriendly at times, but not really an issue.

Will probably use them again - just haven't had a reason to, yet.
