MyUS is fine for smaller items but the costs climb if the package is 1-3kg's. I paid something like 30 dollars for a ssd
plus they want 10% on the cost price if you use a credit card.
It works out far cheaper importing a ssd but something like a vga card or motherboard would end up more expensive.
Shipping 30-80 dollars
MYUS 10% if you use a credit card.
14% plus 10% at customs
You only want to import something that is vastly superior to pricing in SA using MYUS. My ssd was 290 dollars and i ended in total paying about 4k for actually drive, so i spent 2k on myUS, shipping and duties. My ssd doesn't even weigh a kilo. I must say though it was fast, 5 days. Also had to clear it myself as they wanted an import number and i had to sit for a couple hours trying to convince them i was just importing a one off item.
