Would it be okay to use shoe polish on stubborn dusty car's interior like the dash, door panels? anyone ever tried?

I don't think that would work well, just my thought. Plus shoe polish doesn't smell good

Those panels are likely plastic - I'd imagine the polish would just flake off and make a mess when it's dry.
And the smell.

Best to try and remove whatever residue is on the panels and let the car washes put on the dash shine stuff. It just attracts dust imo

Would not use shoe polish.

If you need to go really dirt cheap then rather use multisurface furniture polish.

Best would be to use items designed to clean and protect the dash.

Use this rather:

Excelent suggestion! Another tip!

If you have a layer of frost on your windshield in the morning, pour some boiling water on the windshield to melt any ice.

Shoe polish = leather....your car dash is more than likely not that.

There are a multitude of products made for this purpose...why on earth would you avoid them to risk something like car polish instead?

these fancy dash sprays don't work tough sandy interiors

Then use a wet clothing and nothing fancy.

What have you tried which qualifies as a "fancy dash spray"? Odds are it's pretty cheap and nasty crap which is why it doesn't work.

All else failing use Plush or Mr.Min instead of shoe polish, but it will still be an oily shiny mess which is exactly what you don't want.
