Hi guys

Just bought new shoes. They are a bit tight, does anyone know where I can get them stretched a bit? In the olden days I know they would insert some machine to open up shoes. Do they still do that? I'm in Cape Town.
Thanks in advance

Google has many suggestions but I would rather suggest taking them back if possible. Depending on the type of shoe they usually stretch out.

Also thinking of returning them. Can't take the discomfort

A shoe should fit perfectly from the moment you first put it on.

It shouldn’t require “breaking in” or any such ole wives tale.

Take them back.

Depends on the shoes. I have a couple of pairs of Loakes and they most certainly get more comfortable as you wear them and the various parts take the shape of your foot.
If you go to a Loake store in the UK, stretching them before you take possession is a service they offer free of charge.

Shaping to your foot is one thing, sizing to your foot is another.

Harder Leather especially will shape in time and become more comfortable, but it shouldn’t be uncomfortable from day one or too small.
