I played WoW about 2 years ago and realised that I would never finish my degree, and my girlfriend would dump me, so I (regrettably) stopped. Now that I'm finishing and have a job lined up, I've been doing my homework and want an opinion on the expenses I'm going to have. Note that she's going to play with me, so this is for 2 accounts. Is this going to be the best setup?
1) Get WoW Europe, since they're our timezone. BTgames.co.za is selling WoW for R115 and TBC for the same (R230 for initial setup of 1 acc).
2) Get a WebAfrica unshaped (1 gig) account for playing traffic. R125 pm
3) Local account is a steal at R19 per gig per month to get patches (ftp.agasa, right?)
4) International shaped surfing is R490 for a 10g or R290 for 5g.
[The ADSL line is already installed and I am not worried about where my game cards are coming from. I'll cross buying Wotlk when it's released. Hoping it takes me a while to level to 55 and the price comes down!]
