I went to KFC in Sandton on the Thursday 16 February 2012, ordered and payed with a R100, change was given but I was in a rush as it was lunchtime so I just rushed to the office.
When I get there I put my change on the desk but got suprised and wondered how do I spend R100 on lunch?
As I was busy trying to beat myself up and wondering how can I be so wasteful,I remembered,no man my change is supposed to be R63.20 not R33.20#sigh#

I don't have time to go back to KFC but I have to,so I went and when I get there the cashier (Brenda) noticed me from when I was still on the queue and I could sense her restlessness from where I was standing, when I finally got to her,she "greeted" me by saying is there a problem mate? So I showed her the change I got from her, guess what she said,,,,,,,oh did I mistake R20 for a R50?
How does my new found friend as she called me,know that Im there for change? So she called who I was later told that she's the manger,Nhlanhla, who told me there's nothing she can do as the money in the till is fine. So I put up a fight only to be supriced when my R60 was grabbed from on top of the till machine and the cashier whispered in zulu, saying I'll have to pay it what can I do.
After everything a guy called Godfrey came, apologized and he sounded so professional, and told me the two ladies didn't follow the proper procedure, especially Nhlanhla and to add to that her cellphone rang and she chuckled away with her friend on the phone as if I'm non existent.
KFC Sandton please take Nhlanhla to the same training you took Godfrey to and tell Brenda to stop doing what she's doing robbing unsuspecting customer's as we still want to come and enjoy more grandfathers recipes in peace.

Jesus dude, wtf are you buying food from KFC in the first place? What a disgusting place.

Had that happen to me at Pick n Pay, now I always check if i've been short changed and found it happen twice.

Cash is so last century!

+1

Having had a family owned business for 13 years, the way they steal the cash from the till forced my dad to sell the place as he couldn't afford to keep up. This from women earning more than minimum wage, had extra days off and was only required to work 7 hours a day and received bonuses each month. One went to the labor department to bitch about their pay, so my dad got inspected and was told the bonuses weren't necessary and that everything was by the book etc.

So he took away their bonuses (now they got paid way less) and required the full "9-5" and no days off as he decided he'd adhere to the law fully instead of taking care of the bitches that worked for him. That didn't stop them from still robbing him blind though. Wish these people would do just an honest day's work.

And that's the reason why I use my debit/credit card for purchases everywhere instead of cash. Not because I might get short-changed, but because I know their employer won't get ****ed.

When I worked at the bank, if you were short three times (working as a teller) you were removed. Same should happen everywhere else.

If you want to pay with cash, make sure you check your change when you receive it. You could easily have told that you were short by looking at the cash as she gave it to you. (Doesn't KFC let you pay, THEN put your goods in the paper packet while you wait?) It's been that way at every kfc i've been to...

This same thing happened to me twice at Sterkenekor Irene. The last time it happend I had R10 stolen, I thought to myself is it really worth getting myself pissed off for and making a big scene when I have no proof(Since I never got a slip) and thought no.

However from now on I am going to check my slip every time and plan on catching those idiots. Then again I am to blame for not checking before leaving,A simple calculation would of worked...
