Shot man found lying on road

Mila, thank you for your work to post up the entire news24 website here every day. Even stories you seem to have no opinion on. I'm pretty much 100% convinced you did not post this because you just had to ease your curiosity as to if "the cold kept him from bleeding out." But perhaps you could save yourself some time and just post the url so we can go read the website ourselves if we're interested.

Hey, I told you before to quote the articles because we don't want to go to those sites. Pls would you just drown or something?

Mila, ignore this guy. For some stupid reason he wants everyone to click on links to make hits on news24

Oh settle the hell down. My point was never related to the obvious tragedy in the story. I was pointing out that the OP had posted 4 news 24 stories without so much as a real opinion on it, that could easily be read by anyone going to the site. Nothing more and nothing less. I'm sorry if it got anyones titties in a twist,

I believe your 'titties' got into a twist first.

Yes and?

Maybe going forward save us all the trouble and do the same. Quote the bloody articles ;)

Anyway, back on topic.

I doubt this guy ever wants to wake up, he is in a world of trouble. He has been "borded" by the police as being unfit to work. He is however now working as a security in places like Iran and so on....

He is in for a world of trouble :o

WTF??

He was going to Lyttelton but the car run out of petrol on the n14 and the battery was dead - that seems very strange. Even stranger that there is blood on the roof of the car considering the area where he was shot? Condsidering his background, it could be safe to say that perhaps he fought back with his own firearm [which could have been stolen too].

It'll be interesting to hear what happens if he [hopefully] survives.

he probably couldn't switch the car off after having being shot nine times, so my guess is the petrol ran out and the battery went flat only because it had been left running for hours.

he must've been driving or sitting in the car (with it idling) when he was shot, hence the blood on "the roof" of the car.
correct me if i am wrong, but as far as i know, cars don't have "ceilings" :p i think the journalist simply meant the interior of the car roof.

Quote the bloody articles ;)

agreed!

i think there is a difference between being boarded by the SAP and being medically boarded by a regular co. not sure of it though, but would be interesting if someone could provide an answer as i am sure many former policemen are now doing what this guy is doing.

But he was shot in the chest and lower half of his body... if they shot him in the car, you'd think they'd shoot above the window, and the blood splatter would go down. Unless they shot him as he was getting out - so why was he getting out?

If it was a hijacking, why did they shoot him as he was getting out of the car and not when he was away from the car (as to not damage the car)?

I think it might be RichardG still sour because I told him to stop stalking me.

The bullet holes in the car seat suggests he was shot while still in the car....and the bullet hole(s) in the car suggests that maybe he was shot from outside the car...probably why most of the wounds are on the lower half of the body. Maybe they shot at him "drive-by" style while he was driving, or from a distance. If someone stood next to his window to shoot, you would expect 9 shots in the chest. The blood on the roof would most likely be from him trying to get out and touching the roof with his bloody hands. There must have been a lot of blood....I remember a similar story from quite a few years back. I think it was on TV or something but it was about a guy who was hijacked and shot 14 times (or had 14 bullet wounds, some from the same bullet) on the N1/N14 and lived. Amazing.

blood could splash up, down, anywhere, depending on the angle at which the gunman was standing.
perhaps he jumped into the back seat of the car as the first few shots were being fired... i don't know.

btw, that was in reply to eltherza
