Should fromsoftware games have an "easy" mode

Should Elden Ring have an "easy" mode?

It will take away from the immersiveness of the game and how it was meant to be. From Software games are a trophy hunter's bone for contention. If Elden Ring somehow deviates from that DNA, it might suck.
 
I don't feel strongly about it, but yeah I think they should. They're still just games. Accommodating players who don't want quite such a stressful or punishing experience broadens the appeal of their games. It's entirely the dev's right to decline to do that. But as a result, I have zero interest in anything they've ever published. Life goes on, whatever.
 
Have enough "Boss fights" at work, when I get home I just wanna relax and interact with a story. Last thing I wanna do is "work" for entertainment.

So no Normal mode = no play.

Example: while all you na na's are at home relaxing on a public holiday, I'm here at work
 
I hate overly hard boss fights more than anything in games
 
Normal mode is the easy mode…there’s NG+ for a reason :p

Yep same.

But I don't mind if there are developers who wish to make their games a certain way, I just won't play those games.

Some people live for the grind of beating really difficult games so there is totally a place for that. I prefer story driven games and don't want to waste time on non-story parts by getting stuck for hours on a boss fight as I've got plenty of stuff I want to play and not enough time.
 
I would say no, souls/soulslike titles are harder by design.

There are many walking simulators out there.
 
Easy mode is already in the game - reset an area, kill enemies, use the souls and level up whenever you can (referring to Dark Souls here). I wouldn't want the devs to waste resources to cater to people who don't want to put in any effort into games. If you want to "relax after work" there are Ubisoft games for those types of people.
 
Easy mode or not, I do not care Just give me Elden Ring already , I am ready lol. But I get why it would be beneficial for some players to want to experience what the hype is all about in FromSoft games. The problem with adjusting the DNA would mean a lot of work has to be done to try protect certain players from invasions & adjusting the matchmaking system for MP. Unless elden ring does not have any of the invasion element in the game, then it really does not bother me if there is an easy mode or not. Just give me Elden ring **I am Ready**
 
They aren't even that hard. Go play something else instead.
Its like paying for a mountain climbing experience and complaining its too hard.
This is what they are selling, too hard? Don't buy it then.
