should i be worried that my demonoid torrents are faster than my bitfarm ones ?

i've been downloading the latest episodes of my fav series from bitfarm but switched to demonoid just to test it out.

to my surprise the demonoid torrents are flying while the bitfarm ones are slow

all the torrents were seeded well so i expected bitfarm to blaze but it didn't

my isp is mweb on a 384 line. what am i missing here ? i thought bitfarm used local bandwidth so i expected it to be faster ...

your torrents are only as fast as the seeds upload speeds, so if there are many people downloading a torrent being seeded by a bunch of 512/384 guys then it will be slow, even 4meg users are shaped, there is no consistency in upload speeds from local users, i stopped using bitfarm ages ago, with uncapped being so cheap private trackers and even semi private trackers like demonoid are better options.

Isn’t this to do with MWeb not peering with some local ISP’s and that your traffic is going international first and then back to SA.

Nope. I think the peering issue only affects latency, not sequential (does this word even apply here?) download speeds.
